Tijara ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Tijara website (https://tijara.cc) and Tijara mobile app, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you register we collect your name, email address, phone number, and a password (hashed). If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account email and profile name.

Business data: The customers, transactions, invoices, stock, staff, and cash entries you create inside Tijara are stored under your account so we can show them back to you on any device.

Technical data: We log IP address, device type, browser, and basic usage events (page views, errors) to keep the service running and detect abuse.

Payments: If you upgrade to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by our payment partner (PayFast.pk). We never see or store your card number; we only receive a transaction reference and status.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the Tijara service (showing your khata, invoices, reports back to you).
• To send you transactional messages such as email verification, password reset, payment receipts, and important service notices.
• To improve the product by analyzing aggregated usage patterns.
• To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:

• Service providers who help us operate the service (hosting, email delivery, payment processing). They access data only to perform their tasks and must keep it confidential.
• Government or law-enforcement bodies when required by law.
• A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our business.

4. Data Retention

We keep your account and business data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. tax records).

5. Security

We use HTTPS encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and least-privilege access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

6. Your Rights

You may at any time:

• Access, update, or correct your personal information from Settings.
• Export your business data as a CSV / PDF.
• Delete your account, which deletes your data within 30 days.
• Withdraw consent for marketing emails (we send only transactional emails by default).

7. Children

Tijara is intended for use by business owners aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. International Transfers

Our servers are located outside Pakistan. By using Tijara you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in those countries under contractual safeguards.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or with a prominent notice inside the app at least 7 days before the change takes effect.
